New York, NY - September 6, 2018 - CohnReznick LLP, one of the leading advisory, assurance, and tax firms in the United States, has announced that Steven Morrison has joined the Firm as a partner in the National Assurance Practice.

Based in New York, Morrison joins the Audit Quality Group to further develop CohnReznick’s innovative, forward-thinking approaches to modern auditing. He has extensive experience as an engagement partner and quality control reviewer, with industry knowledge that includes automobile dealerships, employee benefit plans, freight forwarding/mail courier services, retail, and wholesale/distribution. Morrison’s work includes addressing accounting and auditing issues for entities throughout the Americas, EMEA, and the Oceania region.

Before joining CohnReznick, Morrison was a principal at MBAF. From 2015 to 2018, he served on the AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board (ASB), a senior committee that promulgates US Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Within the ASB, Morrison served as the final chair of the going concern task force which updated the going concern standard with SAS 132. He was also a member of the audit evidence task force which is evaluating audit standard issues for AU-C 500, Audit Evidence, as well as blockchain and artificial intelligence.
