Bruce L. Richman to Moderate and Present at Business Valuation, Financial, and Tax Issues in Divorce 2015

1/8/15

Chicago, IL – Bruce L. Richman, partner with CohnReznick, one of the leading accounting, tax, and advisory firms in the U.S., will moderate and present at this year’s Business Valuation, Financial, and Tax Issues in Divorce 2015 seminar, one of the Midwest’s highest-profile divorce conferences, covering many aspects of business valuation, divorce taxation, and financial issues in divorce. This major conference is well-known as a premier networking and educational event.

This year’s seminar will draw together a marquee line-up of thought leaders on topics ranging from dealing with financial issues in mediation and alternative dispute resolution to dealing with evidentiary and ethical issues when representing a client in a cash business. Other discussion topics will include handling the divisibility of stock options and other corporate perks, an overview of the new Illinois Maintenance Guidelines, and a spirited debate on the meaning of “life style” for the purposes of support.

The event will also spark a lively debate amongst many of Illinois’s best-known judges on the differences between assets and income as part of the program known as "The Judges’ Roundtable," featuring judges from various counties.  The debate will premiere a brand-new interactive audience polling feature which will grant the audience the opportunity to actively engage in the program and better understand how a judge might rule on these crucial questions.

The seminar will also feature a presentation by Bruce titled, “Follow the Income: Pass-Through Entities” as well as a presentation by James Kazmier, senior manager with CohnReznick, titled, “Important Financial & Tax Cases.”

The seminar will be held at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg in Schaumburg, Illinois on January 19, 2015 and will offer 6 CLE credit hours.
