FEMA Public Assistance Meetings for Non-Profits Affected by Hurricane Sandy
For non-profit organizations which suffered damages due to Hurricane Sandy, FEMA will hold applicant briefings to explain how nonprofits may apply for public assistance.
The applicant briefings are scheduled for Friday, November 16, 2012 and Monday, November 19, 2012. The applicant briefings will take place at 49 – 51 Chambers Street, New York, NY. Attendance is limited to two representatives per organization.
Non-profits unable to attend the applicant briefing may register with FEMA by filing a Request for Public Assistance with FEMA by December 2, 2012. A FEMA representative will contact those organizations directly to answer their questions. Non-profits should continue to document all incurred costs and damages associated with Hurricane Sandy.
