Deborah Levinson is a partner in CohnReznick's Commercial Real Estate Industry Practice. Based in New York City, she has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting and real estate industries. Debbie’s public and private client base includes developers, investors, owners, property managers, private equity funds, specialty finance companies, and REITs in a wide range of real estate sectors including office, retail, multifamily, single family, hospitality and industrial. Her services to these sectors include accounting, tax, workouts and restructurings, loan, property and company acquisitions, IPO consulting, sales due diligence, property management advisory, forensic accounting and expert witness testimony.
Prior to joining CohnReznick in 2012, Debbie was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Forest City Ratner Companies (FCRC) where she was a key member of a $4 billion division of Forest City Enterprises, a publicly-held real estate developer and operator. There, she was responsible for financial reporting, corporate accounting and budgeting, development and property accounting, cash management and oversight of the IT group. She also served on FCRC’s New York Executive Committee (the CORE Group). Prior to this, Debbie was with Ernst & Young for 24 years, most recently as Partner, Real Estate, Hospitality and Construction Group (RHC). Before joining Ernst & Young, Debbie was a partner with Kenneth Leventhal & Company.
